Workmanship Warranty
All fibreglass repairs carried out by Fibreglass Solutions are warranted against defects in workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of completion. This warranty applies only to the specific repair area and is limited to repairing or redoing of defective work.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by impact, grounding, misuse, normal wear and tear, structural movement outside the repaired area, previous or subsequent repairs, or environmental factors including UV exposure and water intrusion.
Where the services are supplied for business purposes, the parties agree that the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply, to the extent permitted by law.
Nothing in this warranty limits any rights the customer may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
Colour Match Acknowledgement
Colour matching of gelcoat or paint is performed to the closest achievable match. When possible professional colour matching is sourced. Due to ageing, oxidation, UV exposure, and lighting conditions, an exact match cannot be guaranteed.
Any concerns regarding colour match must be notified in writing within 14 days of completion or first outdoor viewing of the repair. After this period, the repair will be deemed accepted.
Pool Refurbishment Warranty Information
We provide a 7 year warranty on the new fibreglass surface, as we are adding to an existing shell. For the flow coat (the coloured layer), we have a 5 year warranty.
Fading is common with the flow coat layer and unavoidable in some cases due to environmental and chemical factors, especially in uncovered pools. This should be considered when choosing your pool flow coat colour. Darker colours tend to fade quicker than the lighter ones. Professional pool maintenance is recommended.
The warranty excludes: Discolouration, staining, fading, surface yellowing, abrasion or any surface degradation caused by incorrect water chemical management and maintenance, excessive cleaning or scratching from automatic pool cleaners.
Support equipment i.e pump, filter, lights etc fitted at the time of installation is warranted by the respective manufacturer or the support equipment, provided the conditions of those warranties are adhered to.
All warranties will be invalid if the pool is damaged by earth or ground-fill movement, acts of aggression, extreme weather events, by accident, misuse or by the intentional or negligent acts of any person.
All warranties will be invalid if the pool is emptied without consulting with Fibreglass Solutions first.
Defects that arise due to normal wear and tear are not covered under warranty. If any defect/ damage appears, please let us know in writing within seven days. Do not attempt to remedy the defect yourself.
